Little Things, Hidden Worlds

One of the things I love about my country is how old and new can exist so naturally next to each other.
When I walk through the quiet streets of Kyoto, or find a little corner of Tokyo that still keeps its old charm, I often start imagining the people who lived there many years ago, sometimes even centuries ago.
What were they thinking about?
Who did they love?
What kind of future were they dreaming of?
Maybe, even though the world has changed so much, the feelings we have deep inside are not so different after all.I've always been interested not only in beautiful things, but also in the stories behind them. History, films, books, and little discoveries during my travels often open the door to worlds I never knew before. Every time I learn something new, I feel like the way I see the world becomes a little wider.
Recently, I had the chance to visit someone's office, and it became a surprisingly personal experience. Not because of what we talked about, but because of everything around me.
The photographs on the walls, the collections gathered over many years, even the Excel sheets where every little detail was recorded. Everything seemed to tell me something about the person behind it — their passions, their habits, their patience, and the way their mind works.
Little by little, I felt like I was getting to know this person in a way that words alone could never really explain.
It made me realise how much of someone's personality can be found in the things they choose to keep, the details they care about, and the little world they have built for themselves.

I left with a much deeper appreciation for this person, and somehow the experience has stayed with me ever since. It was one of those moments I never expected to be so memorable, but somehow I cannot forget it.
Perhaps, this is what I find so beautiful about people, too. Just like old streets and historical objects, we all have stories that are not immediately visible. Sometimes, you only need to look a little closer to discover a completely different world.

In a world where almost everything is available with just one tap, I find myself appreciating things that make us slow down a little. An afternoon spent thinking, the changing seasons, or a conversation that continues much longer than we planned.
I also believe that we don't have to explain everything about ourselves all at once.
There are things a number can never tell you about a person. I would much rather be known for the way I think, the things I love, and all the little details that make me who I am.
I think everyone has sides of themselves that they only show when they feel comfortable with someone. I certainly do, and I like the idea of letting someone discover those sides naturally, I actually tell so much of myself privately over messages on OnlyFans, instead of sharing everything with everyone.

Here, I would love to share little moments from my everyday life, thoughts that come into my mind, and sometimes a more personal side of me, too, whenever it feels right. It has been a year and half (?) I believe ever since I started writing blogs here, and I love this moment of sipping down at my table late at night, sipping on warm tea...
Life is made up of unexpected encounters and little choices that take us places we never imagined. I don't know what beautiful places, interesting people, or meaningful connections lie ahead, and that's part of the excitement. Whether you've been following me for a long time or have only recently found me, I'd love for us to keep discovering a little more about each other, at our own pace. With gratitude for life's little beauties and all the stories still waiting to be discovered.
With love,
Rikako ♡
